Job Title: Welfare Attendance Officer
Location: Tower Hamlets
Term: currently until end of March 2025
Rate: 23.48 PAYE/30.13 Umbrella

Responsibilities:
- Utilise your thorough knowledge of the education system to improve attendance at schools and contribute to the raising of achievement.
- Monitor school attendance levels and assist in the development and review of whole school attendance policies.
- Provide a specialised professional service to ensure the organisation meets its statutory obligations regarding school attendance and pupil welfare.
- Disseminate good practise and collaborate with other officers to provide coordinated support to schools.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated experience working in education, preferably with schools or other educational settings.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and guidance related to school attendance and child and family well being.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, to effectively engage with students, families, and school staff.
- Proven ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.
- Strong analytical, verbal, and numeric reasoning skills.
