Behaviour Mentor Required - Immediate Start in Hackney

In this role, you'll work closely with students who require behavioural support, guiding them to stay focused while providing crucial social and emotional assistance.

The Ideal Candidate:We're looking for a confident and compassionate individual with experience in behaviour mentoring. You'll need a firm but understanding approach, alongside strong administrative skills. Experience with SIMS (School Information Management System) is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing one-on-one support to students within the classroom.
  • Maintaining a visible presence around the school to encourage positive behaviour.
  • Addressing low-level disruptions and fostering a conducive learning environment.
  • De-escalating behavioural incidents and teaching students self-regulation techniques.
  • Supervising the isolation room and ensuring students complete their assigned work.
  • Overseeing detention sessions to promote discipline and order.

About the School:This large, secondary school in Hackney is Ofsted-rated "Good" and offers excellent opportunities for professional development. Located just 7 minutes from the nearest station and well-connected by local bus routes, the school also provides on-site parking for those who drive.

Position Details:

  • Term-time only, starting immediately and running through to July 2025.
  • Working hours: 8:15 am - 4:15 pm, Monday to Friday.
