Role Overview: They are seeking a passionate and experienced Behaviour Mentor to join their team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in identifying students requiring behavioural support, conducting one-to-one mentoring sessions, devising effective strategies to enhance behaviour management, and collaboratively drafting action plans for learners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify pupils in need of behavioural support through observation, communication with teaching staff, and assessments.
- Conduct one-to-one mentoring sessions with identified pupils, providing a supportive and understanding environment to address behavioural concerns.
- Develop personalized strategies and interventions tailored to the individual needs of each student, aimed at improving behavioural management and academic engagement.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external professionals to ensure cohesive support and progress monitoring for students.
- Regularly review and adjust action plans based on the evolving needs and progress of learners.
- Maintain accurate records of mentoring sessions, behavioural assessments, and progress reports.
Requirements:
- Proven experience working with children or young people in an educational or similar setting, preferably in a behavioural support role.
- Sound understanding of behavioural management techniques and strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport and trust with students, staff, and parents.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
- Flexibility and adaptability to work within a dynamic educational environment.
- Relevant qualifications in education, psychology, social work, or a related field would be advantageous.
