The Opportunity:Are you passionate about helping young people overcome challenges and achieve their potential? Long Term Futures is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to work within a supportive school in Newham. This role involves working closely with students who require additional behavioral and emotional support, helping them engage positively in their education and personal development.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience working with young people, ideally in a school, youth work, or mentoring role.
  • Strong knowledge of behavior management strategies and techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build trusting relationships with students, staff, and families.
  • A calm, patient, and proactive approach to handling challenging situations.
  • A passion for creating opportunities for students to succeed both academically and socially.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing one-to-one and small group mentoring to students with behavioral challenges.
  • Supporting students to develop self-regulation, confidence, and resilience.
  • Collaborating with teachers and pastoral staff to implement behavior strategies and support plans.
  • Encouraging positive behavior in and out of the classroom.
  • Monitoring student progress and providing regular feedback to staff and families.
  • Contributing to school-wide initiatives and activities that promote inclusion and personal growth.
