We have an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Psychologist to join our Bank staff here at The London Clinic, based on site at our 142-146 Harley St location (W1G 7LD). We are offering a competitive rate of £45 per hour.

Established in 1932, The London Clinic is one of the UK's largest private hospitals, with 8 state-of-the-art facilities located in the heart of London's medical community around Harley Street. This is a 1-day (8hrs per week) position, with a set rostered day of Friday. You will see up to 6 clients, but will be guaranteed pay whether you see patients or not. Please note, we cannot offer hybrid working for this role and the postholder will be required to be onsite 100% of the time.

Job Profile:

As a Clinical Psychologist, you will be expected to provide specialist clinical psychological assessment and treatment to adults with psychological and emotional needs who have been referred to the service. You will provide specialist support, guidance, and consultation on clients' psychological care to non-psychological therapy colleagues within The London Clinic, and will work closely with the multidisciplinary team as well as your psychological therapy colleagues.

  • Job Type: Bank, 1 day per week (8hrs).
  • Shift Pattern: Set rostered day of Friday.
  • Job Location: This role is 100% onsite at our 142-146 Harley Street location (W1G 7LD).
  • Salary: Competitive rate of £45 per hour.

Key Duties:

  • Provide specialist psychological assessment and treatment for a maximum of 6 individual therapy clients.
  • Provide specialist support, guidance and consultation on clients' psychological care to other multidisciplinary professionals as needed.
  • Work closely with talking therapy colleagues to promote communication and manager referrals across the service.
  • Work autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the team's policies and procedures.
  • Use organisational, skills to ensure client forms and data are collected in a timely manner for audit, teaching, policy and service development and research within the area served by the team/service.

Skills & Experience:

  • Experience of providing individualised treatment for adults with anxiety and depression, and other common psychological disorders.
  • Experience of using psychological interventions with patients with acute or long-term health conditions including cancer.
  • Experience of using patient-reported outcome measures on a regular basis.
  • Experience of managing own caseload effectively.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, verbally, and in writing complex, highly technical and/or clinically sensitive information to clients, their families and/or carers and other professional colleagues.
  • Maintenance of a consistently high level of competency in conducting psychological interventions.
