About the role:

We are looking for a dynamic professional with excellent leadership and management skills to run the newly established School of Counselling. This is a management role within CCCG.

The role has emerged as a result of growth in our Counselling provision and our ambition to develop a suite of courses that will provide Londoners with the skills to work effectively with those who may be experiencing poor mental health.

Our goal is to have courses at all 11 CCCG sites, including at Westminster Kingsway College, City and Islington College and the College of Haringey, Enfield and North East London. We have courses running currently from five sites, so there is a good base on which to build.

About You:

You will have extensive experience of quality processes and curriculum development as well as significant and current industry expertise, in both FE and HE. Ideally, you will be highly qualified in counselling and be able to complete the required administrative responsibilities for set-up and continued delivery of counselling courses from level 2 through to level 6.

You will have the experience and inter-personal skills to enable staff to deliver consistently good or better teaching, learning and assessment.

You will be an effective team player who is able to work with and lead teams, motivate staff, provide training where necessary and carry out appraisals. You should be inspirational to students and be able to demonstrate how you effectively manage student behaviour.

You will have a proven track record of developing teams to plan and deliver an excellent learning experience. Successful management experience of curriculum teams is essential and evidence of having led on change/curriculum innovation, especially in relation to vocational provision is a must.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the CCCG team who are passionate and dedicated to providing our students with the best possible teaching and training to fulfil the futures best suited to them. We recognise how hard our people work towards ensuring our students are supported throughout all areas of their college experience, and thus we provide an excellent set of employee benefits.
