Homeless Project Worker



Location: Finchley, London



Salary: 18 per hour



Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week (Monday-Friday, on a rolling rota of early and late shifts)



About the Role

We are currently recruiting for Complex Needs Project Workers to join a vital service in Finchley, supporting adults who have experienced homelessness or rough sleeping. This service adopts a trauma-informed, person-centred approach to help individuals rebuild their lives and achieve sustainable outcomes.

You'll hold a caseload of 8-12 clients, conducting keyworking sessions to create and implement tailored support plans. Your role will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive risk and needs assessments.
  • Supporting clients in accessing specialist services for issues such as substance use, mental health, and complex trauma.
  • Ensuring clients sustain their accommodation and maximize their income through benefit support, budgeting skills, and financial resilience.
  • Collaborating with external agencies to address client needs effectively.
  • Assisting clients ready for education, work, or training.

This role also involves room/building checks, reporting repairs, and lone working.



What We're Looking For

To be successful, you'll need:

  • Experience working with complex needs clients (homelessness, substance use, mental health, offending, etc.).
  • A non-judgmental, strengths-based approach to supporting vulnerable individuals.
  • The ability to manage challenging situations and respond calmly to crises.
  • Knowledge of financial support services for clients.
  • Strong IT and administrative skills for maintaining accurate records.
