Servol Community Services is an established charity which provides high quality accommodation and support for adults living with mental ill health and complex conditions.
Hours of work per week = 44 hrs (4 shifts per week, workng 9am - 9pm). Shifts can take place from Monday - Sunday on a rota basis.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
People in the Service
- Provide face to face support, and contribute to the development of support plans, risk assessments, and reviews to a high standard.
- Participate in and encourage participants involvement in various projects, activities, and initiatives.
- Support the service and team to meet key KPIs and objectives.
- Recognise support needs in an individual and initiate appropriate interventions to prevent further deterioration.
- Ensure each service user is assisted to manage their own tenancy or licence and maintain their accommodation via regular recovery star sessions. Supporting service users with personal administration, form filling and making benefit claims.
- Ensure all participants understand their rights and responsibilities and have access to the right tools and resources, to support them back into society and building networks.
- Provide advice, information, guidance, and life skills training to participants.
Team
- Work as part of a team, actively participating in meetings, bringing forward ideas and contributing to relevant decisions.
- Communicate effectively with all team members.
- Undertake lone working, as required.
- Act as a mentor to less experienced staff.
- Work as part of the rota as required for each service to meet each individual's needs.
Operational
- Follow and implement Servol's policies and procedures at all times.
- Administration duties will vary. may include but is not limited to; complete participant records, reports, support plans, risk assessments, case notes, and other documentation for internal and external stakeholders as required and with accordance to policy and procedure.
- Carry out tasks that ensure the smooth day to day operation of the service.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external persons and agencies.
- Work within the framework laid down by the Commissioners of services and any other relevant legislation and contracts.
SKIILS/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
Working with people to promote choice and independence.
Minimum of 6 months UK-based experience in a health and social care role, supporting vulnerable adults.
Good verbal and written skills and ability to convey information clearly
Ability to demonstrate practical experience of IT systems and email.
A working understanding of legislation and procedures for the protection of vulnerable adults
An understanding of Health and Safety and risk management issues and application in social care
Understanding of equality and diversity and ability to promote equality in all aspects of work
Positive attitude to working with people experiencing mental health problems
A non-judgemental, accepting approach to working with people whose behaviour may be challenging.
Ability to cope in a mature way with conflict, distress and challenging behaviour
