Overview:

Engage Education are currently seeking a full-time Inclusion Mentor to support students with social, emotional, mental health needs, and learning challenges, including those with SEND and English as an additional language. The role involves academic and personal mentoring, managing internal exclusions, and providing in-class support. The Inclusion Mentor will work under the direction of the Inclusion Manager, utilizing a Trauma Informed approach.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise students in internal exclusion.
  • Provide one-on-one and group mentoring.
  • Support students in lessons and restorative meetings.
  • Assist with administrative tasks related to inclusion.
  • Promote student safety and well-being.

Requirements:

  • Graduate-level qualification or degree in an Ebacc subject.
  • Experience working with children with specific social, emotional, or language needs.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and ICT skills.
  • Understanding of behaviour management strategies and disadvantaged communities.
