Our Client, Lewisham Council, is seeking a Children’s Independent Reviewing Officer to join their Team.

Fantastic payrate of £37.70 per hour!

This role is mainly working from home with candidates only required to go to the office once per week!

Responsibilities of this role:

  • To co-ordinate and chair Initial Child Protection conferences, and Review conferences and Children Looked After Reviews held under Sefton LSCB Safeguarding Procedure.
  • To ensure that all conference and complex child in need minutes are of a high standard and that children and their families can contribute to the decision-making process as fully as possible.
  • To promote the highest possible standards of professional practice, and to ensure a multi-agency approach to decision making in complex child in need meetings and child protection conferences.
  • To deputise for the Safeguarding Manager, in matters relating to Safeguarding and Child Protection and Children Looked After by the Local Authority.
  • To assist in the collation and analysis of data emanating from conference and review material.
  • To maintain appropriate records and to comply with required administrative procedures.

Requirements of this role:

  • Must be a Qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England.
  • Must have a Social Work qualification (Diploma in social work, social work degree or equivalent)
  • Must have minimum of 2 years experience working as a Qualified social worker in a similar team
