Job description:
- As a member of the Safeguarding and Quality Assurance team you may hold a diverse caseload that will include mainly children looked after and some child protection cases. You will also be asked to contribute to auditing activity across the service, which will be an integral part of the role.
- You will need to possess excellent chairing skills, to confidently manage difficult meetings whilst ensuring the participation of children and young people and their parents; have a keen eye for scrutiny, auditing, attention to detail and good report writing skills.
- The successful applicant will be able to ensure effective decisions are made for Children Looked After and Children with a Child Protection Plan and monitor those decisions in line with Working Together and the Care Placement, Planning and Review Regulations.
Essential:
- 3 years' experience as a qualified child and family social worker.
- Have experience chairing complex meetings and reviews.
- Have experience supervising social workers and advising on their practice.
