Infrastructure Development and Delivery Lead
We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Development and Delivery Lead to join our Major Projects Team at the Principal level. In this role, you will lead programmes, workstreams, or projects, shaping infrastructure delivery approaches and policy development. Your work will directly impact the successful development and implementation of major water and wastewater infrastructure projects across England and Wales, using competitive delivery models such as Direct Procurement for Customers (DPC) and the Specified Infrastructure Projects Regulations (SIPR).
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the delivery of major infrastructure programmes and policy initiatives.
- Manage a portfolio of large-scale projects, including expert advisor oversight.
- Analyse commercial, financial, and technical project proposals, providing scrutiny and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Engage with water and wastewater companies to assess commercial models, procurement strategies, cost, and risk estimations.
- Collaborate across teams and external stakeholders to ensure high-quality project outcomes.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Expertise in large infrastructure projects, particularly within regulated sectors.
- Strong knowledge or experience in private financing of public or regulated infrastructure.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Highly numerate, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to lead programmes, manage teams, and drive strategic outcomes.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas to non-technical audiences.
