Hours of Work: 40 hours per week - working a shift pattern including some nights and weekends based on a 6-week shift pattern.
Salary: 31,475.00 per annum
About the Role:
We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Initial Accommodation Officer to join our team. You will play a crucial role in providing support and guidance to Service Users residing in our initial accommodation facilities. This role requires a proactive and empathetic individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Service User Support:
- Manage a caseload of Service Users, providing guidance and support.
- Conduct regular welfare checks and address any concerns promptly.
- Signpost Service Users to essential services (GPs, shops, support agencies).
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all Service Users and staff.
- Address safeguarding issues in accordance with company policy.
- Accommodation Management:
- Conduct regular inspections of accommodation and report any maintenance issues.
- Ensure property standards are maintained and comply with health and safety regulations.
- Manage inventory and ensure the upkeep of accommodation facilities.
- Operational Excellence:
- Ensure compliance with all contractual obligations and statutory regulations.
- Participate in service improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all activities.
- Liaise effectively with colleagues, stakeholders, and external agencies.
- Stakeholder Engagement:
- Build and maintain positive relationships with Service Users, colleagues, and external stakeholders.
- Attend relevant meetings and represent the company professionally.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Experience of working with vulnerable adults or in a customer service environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work flexibly, including some evening and weekend shifts.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Desirable Skills & Experience:
- Experience working in a residential setting.
- Knowledge of safeguarding procedures.
- Experience of working with diverse communities.
