Learning Disabilities Practitioner Manager London Borough of Lambeth are looking to expand their current team with a dedicated Learning Disabilities Practitioner Manager looking for an opportunity to join a well-structured and organised team. As well as joining a supportive team our client also offers a competitive salary, opportunities for training to enhance your skills and potential progression within your team. This Learning Disabilities Practitioner Manager role will be for an initial 3-6 months with potential for extension subject to internal circumstance and your performance.Learning Disabilities Practitioner Manager Responsibilities include:

  • Supervise up to 8 Social Workers/assessors in the Adult Learning Disabilities Team.
  • Ensure that statutory assessments and reviews are assigned and completed within expected performance targets and quality standards.
  • Participate in the Community Duty rota.
  • Proactive in promoting anti-discriminatory practices and supporting council policy.
  • Provide line management of front-line operational services which includes the provision a comprehensive assessment and case management service to vulnerable adults.
  • Lead on the delivery of safe services for services users, including investigating, chairing, and reviewing adult safeguarding episodes as appropriate

Experience preferred:

  • The Practitioner Manager will need to be a qualified social worker, registered with Social Work England and have significant post qualifying experience.

Minimum Requirements:

  • SWE Registration
  • 3 year post qualifying experience within the UK Social Care industry
  • Enhanced DBS/CRB (we can obtain for you)
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
