Mental Health Tribunal Panel Member Solicitor.

We are seeking an experienced Solicitor with Panel Membership, who specialises in legal service focused on the niche area of Mental Health Law. Our client demonstrates a sophisticated approach to legal representation by:
  • Operating across multiple locations with multiple offices across the UK and within London and Birmingham.
  • Maintaining a presence in Public Sector and servicing three high-secure hospitals
  • Offering a flexible, modern working arrangement with remote working options available
Position Overview:
  • Full-time remote position
  • Solicitor who Specialises in Mental Health Law
  • Membership in the Law Society's Mental Health Tribunal Panel
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Managing a caseload of Mental Health Law matters
  2. Representing clients in Tribunal and Hospital Managers' hearings
  3. Attending Care Programme Approach (CPA) and Section 117 aftercare meetings
  4. Meeting fee-earning targets and maintaining Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
  5. Contributing to business development and marketing efforts
Working Arrangement:
  • Primarily remote work
  • Option to use offices in London
  • Requires strong independent working skills, self-motivation, and excellent organisational skills
Essential Requirements:
  • Qualified Solicitor with at least 5 years PQE
  • Mental Health Tribunal Panel membership
