The Role:

As a Mentor, you will be a trusted guide and role model, working with young people aged 10-18 who may be:

  • Living with Long-Term Health Conditions
  • From low socio-economic backgrounds
  • At risk of exploitation or grooming
  • Struggling with low self-confidence and self-worth

You will provide vital one-to-one and group mentoring, helping young people navigate challenges, develop life skills, and strengthen their links with the community. You will work alongside a dedicated team of Specialist Mentors, a Systemic Family Therapist, and volunteers, contributing to multiple mentoring programmes.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide individualised and group mentoring sessions tailored to the needs of young people.

Support young people in building confidence, resilience, and aspirations for their future.

Oversee the development and progression pathways for each young person, ensuring they have access to relevant opportunities.

Work closely with families to improve relationships and home dynamics.

Liaise with statutory agencies to help remove barriers to communication with young people and their families.

Facilitate stakeholder forums, promoting best practice approaches and enhanced support strategies.

Develop partnerships with external agencies to provide access to employability programmes, personal development opportunities, and positive social activities.

Work closely with the Chief Executive and Senior Management Team to uphold the highest standards of safeguarding and integrity.
