Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out a range of repairs and maintenance work across various trades, including plumbing, carpentry, tiling, plastering, and decorating.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and ensure work is completed in line with health and safety standards.
  • Work efficiently to ensure that all properties meet the required housing standards and are safe, functional, and habitable.
  • Liaise directly with tenants to schedule and complete maintenance tasks with minimal disruption.
  • Manage materials and equipment required for tasks, ensuring cost efficiency.
  • Ensure all documentation and reports are accurately completed and submitted in a timely manner.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience in multiple trades (plumbing, carpentry, tiling, plastering, and/or decorating).
  • A valid driving license, as travel between properties is required.
  • Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently.
  • Relevant qualifications or certifications in trades (e.g., NVQ Level 2 or 3, City & Guilds, etc.).
  • Experience working within social housing or a similar sector is desirable but not essential.
  • Ability to work flexibly and as part of a team.
