About the Role

The Community Social Work Teams are at the forefront of innovation, leading groundbreaking initiatives such as Spotlight and Sahara (Domestic Abuse interventions). As Practice Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to children and families while balancing performance and quality with service demands.

You will provide effective line management to a team consisting of:

  • 2 Senior Practitioners
  • 4 Social Workers
  • 1 Family Support Worker

The team operates in a fast-paced and challenging environment, fostering a culture of continuous learning, development, and improvement. You will ensure manageable caseloads and maintain our Ofsted "Outstanding" standards (2019).

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage complex cases involving Child in Need and Child Protection plans, as well as long-term care planning.
  • Oversee Legal Planning Meetings (LPMs), Public Law Outline (PLO) processes, and cases subject to court orders (Sections 7, 37, and Supervision Orders).
  • Lead and mentor your team, driving performance and quality improvement.
  • Collaborate with experienced Team Managers, ensuring consistent support and guidance.
  • Balance service delivery demands with the well-being and development of your team.
