Private Works Manager

As a Private Works Manager, you will be responsible for managing multiple projects, ensuring successful delivery within time, budget, and quality expectations. You will liaise with clients, local authorities, and subcontractors while maintaining high safety and compliance standards. A strong commercial mindset is essential, as you will be responsible for cost control, financial reporting, and contract management.

Key Responsibilities:
-Oversee and manage highways, public realm, and S278 projects from inception to completion.
 -Lead project teams, ensuring smooth coordination between site staff, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
 -Ensure works are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard.
 -Manage client relationships, attending meetings and providing regular project updates.
 -Oversee health & safety, quality assurance, and compliance with industry standards.
 -Assist in pricing, programming, and planning works to maximize efficiency and profitability.
- Manage project costs, contract negotiations, valuations, and commercial reporting.
 -Identify cost-saving opportunities and ensure strong financial performance on all projects.

Requirements:
-Strong experience in highways, public realm, and S278 works.
-Previous experience in a Contracts Manager or similar senior management role.
-Proven commercial acumen, with experience in cost control, valuations, and contract management.
-Excellent understanding of project management, budgeting, and financial forecasting.
-Strong leadership and communication skills to manage teams and liaise with clients.
-Valid CSCS, SMSTS, and relevant industry qualifications.
