As a Social Worker in the Mental Health Review Team, you will assess and support individuals with mental health needs, working closely with their families and support networks to provide person-centred, strength-based, and recovery-focused care. You will lead on safeguarding, Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS), and Care Act reviews, while also managing complex cases and conducting risk assessments. Your ability to respond to crises and protect vulnerable individuals will be essential. The role offers opportunities for professional development, including AMHP training.



Responsibilities include:

  • Complete detailed assessments to determine clients' mental health needs.
  • Conduct mental capacity assessments in line with the Mental Capacity Act 2005.
  • Submit Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS) applications when necessary, ensuring legal requirements are met and individuals' rights are upheld.
  • Provide immediate intervention and support during emergencies or crises.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, and other professionals, to ensure coordinated care.
  • Keep accurate and timely records of assessments, interventions, and care plans, ensuring all documentation adheres to organisational policies and legal obligations.



Requirements:

  • Relevant social work qualification
  • 2 experience in adult social work, including assessment and care planning.
