We are looking to recruit a Qualified Social Worker in the Court of Protection Team within London Borough of Newham. The successful candidate will be working in a well-structured, organised team who are growing their social worker staffing levels.

Newham pay close attention to looking after their Social Workers and strive to ensure they feel supported and welcomed in their roles. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a stable working environment with experienced leadership, whilst receiving regular supervision and training opportunities.

The responsibilities of the Social Worker includes:

  • Community DOL process and completing the paperwork
  • Court of protection work experience.
  • Undertaking mental capacity assessments (COP 3), Completing Best Interest assessments, Court of protection statements (COP24)
  • Completing COP DOL 11form, reviews and support plans, partnership working with Rule 1.2 Representatives, families, service providers in the community, supported living and shared lives, supporting social workers within the team on the Community DOL process.

To ideal candidate will have:

  • Social Work England registration
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
  • Social Work qualified (MA/BSc/DPSW/CQSW/MSc/BA)
