We are looking to recruit a Qualified Social Worker in the Adults Mental Health Team within London Borough of Newham. The successful candidate will be working in a well-structured, organised team who are growing their social worker staffing levels.

The responsibilities of the Social Worker includes:
- Carrying out social care needs and Carers assessments under the Care Act of 2014 both in the community and in hospital, completing support planning and reviews.
- You will undertake Social Circumstance Reports, attending Mental Health Review Tribunals and attending s117 after care meetings under the Mental Health Act1983 (2007).
- You will also be asked to act as an Enquiry Officer on Safeguarding cases and have a strong understanding of Mental Capacity Assessments and DoLS.
- If you are an AMHP you will be expected to contribute to the AMHP rota.
- Mental Health Neighbourhood Teams North & South - our long-term teams, holding case loads of those who receive commissioned care and support services, undertaking reviews of people's needs and supporting people from a recovery based approach to enhance a person's independence and promote well-being.
To ideal candidate will have:
- Social Work England registration
- Eligibility to work in the UK
- Social Work qualified (MA/BSc/DPSW/CQSW/MSc/BA)
