We are looking to recruit a Qualified Social Worker in the Transitions Team within Islington. The successful candidate will be working in a well-structured, organised team who are growing their social worker staffing levels.

London Borough of Islington pay close attention to looking after their Social Workers and strive to ensure they feel supported and welcomed in their roles. The responsibilities of the Social Worker includes:

  • Working with Young Adults aged 18-25 who have a learning disability and are Care Act eligible. The role will involve undertaking Care Act Assessments, completing support plans, completing reviews, safeguarding (all statutory work) and case management/oversight that is required.
  • Caseload is 20-25.
  • Flexible working arrangements can be offered but all visits and majority of meetings need to be in person. Need to be in the office around twice a week.

To ideal candidate will have:

  • Social Work England registration
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
  • Social Work qualified (MA/BSc/DPSW/CQSW/MSc/BA)
