We are looking for an experienced Social Worker to support our Looked After Children services. As a key member of the team, you will have the opportunity to work with vulnerable children and young people, ensuring their welfare, safety, and wellbeing are at the heart of everything you do.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload of Looked After Children, ensuring their needs are met through a child-centred approach.
  • Work collaboratively with children, families, carers, and multi-disciplinary professionals to develop and implement care plans.
  • Advocate for children and young people, ensuring they have a voice in decision-making processes.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and local policies, including completing assessments, care planning, and statutory visits.
  • Support the placement process for children and ensure that care settings are safe, nurturing, and appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records in line with legal and regulatory frameworks.

What We're Looking For

  • Registered Social Worker with a valid Social Work England registration.
  • Experience working with Looked After Children or in a similar role within children's services. For 2+ years
  • A strong understanding of child protection and safeguarding legislation.
  • Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
  • Ability to manage a caseload effectively and work under pressure
