My client in North West London is seeking a compassionate and experienced Children's Social Worker to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of social work practices, demonstrate excellent communication skills, and be committed to supporting children and families through complex situations. Key responsibilities of this role: Conduct comprehensive assessments of childrens needs, including initial and core assessments, and develop tailored care plans. Undertake Section 47 enquiries to investigate allegations of child abuse or neglect, ensuring childrens safety and well-being. Work collaboratively with other professionals and agencies, including the police, health-care providers, and educational staff, to coordinate effective interventions. Provide direct support and interventions to children and families, including crisis intervention, counselling, and advocacy. Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records in compliance with relevant regulations and standards, including case notes, reports, and legal documentation. Monitor and evaluate the progress of children and families, adjusting care plans as necessary to meet changing needs. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, child protection conferences, and case reviews to share information and develop joint strategies for supporting children. Stay informed about current social work practices, policies, and legislation, including the Children Act 1989 and Working Together to Safeguard Children guidance. Advocate for childrens rights and needs within the community and various service systems. Participate in continuous professional development and training opportunities to maintain and enhance skills and knowledge. Adhere to all ethical and legal standards of social work practice, ensuring confidentiality and professional conduct at all times. Qualifications: Bachelors or Masters degree in Social Work Registered with Social Work England (SWE). Minimum of 3 years of experience in a childrens social work setting, preferably with experience in child protection and safeguarding. Strong understanding of social work principles, ethics, and practices, particularly related to children and families. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with case management software.
