We are seeking two Safeguarding Officers to join our Safeguarding Department. This role is crucial in ensuring that our safeguarding practices are maintained and adhered to across the college. The successful candidates will be instrumental in making a positive impact on the lives of young people aged 16-19.

Safeguarding Officer

Day-to-day of the role of a Safegurding Officer:
  • Implement and maintain safeguarding practices across the campus.
  • Work directly with young people to assess their needs and provide necessary advice, information, and support.
  • Develop and enhance the employability, social, behavioural, and personal skills of young people to help them successfully achieve their programme of study.
  • Stay updated with key developments in child protection and safeguarding.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure a safe and supportive environment for both young people and adults.
Required Skills & Qualifications required for the Safeguarding Officer:
  • Must be trained in Level 3 Safeguarding and/or Mental Health First Aid.
  • Proven experience in making a positive impact through direct work with young people aged 14-19.
  • Strong knowledge of key developments relating to child protection and safeguarding.
  • Experience in working with young people and adults to develop their employability, social, behaviour, and personal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
