Hatched Recruitment is looking for a SEN Case Officer in the Camden area. 3 - 6 months contract.

Job Purpose:

  • Support back log off annual reviews and phase transfer 0- 25
  • Candidate must have experience in processing annual reviews and be able to have a person-centred approach as well as having a thorough understanding of the required process when amending EHCP's.
  • Candidate should have experience and knowledge of the phase transfer process and be able to carry out relevant case work and attend annual reviews.
  • Case management experience which would support the tribunal service

Duties:

  • To support CSF Special Educational Needs Team in fulfilling its role in carrying out the statutory Education, Health and Care (EHC) needs assessments of children and young people with special educational needs (SEN).
  • To ensure EHC needs assessments are carried out in a timely way in collaboration with involved professionals and families.
  • To support the service in maintaining effective organisation and data management processes during the statutory EHC needs assessment process and/or related case-work.
  • The administration of the EHC needs assessment process is implemented in accordance with statutory guidelines:
  • * Parents and professionals contribute advice in a timely way in relation to the statutory assessment of individual children and young people undergoing assessment
  • * Assessment Co-ordinators, Planning and Placement Officers and other professionals including named staff in schools, early years and college settings are aware of deadlines and requirements
  • * Parents are aware of and engaged in the process
  • * All parental and practitioner advice is available, using agreed information management systems
  • * Draft plans are written, in conjunction with Assessment Co-ordinators, in a timely way
  • * Input by all involved professionals to the EHC needs assessment process is co-ordinated so that statutory timescales are met
