Senior Practice Educator, Adult Social Care, LondonRole Overview:Pertemps is seeking a Senior Practice Educator to support the implementation of the Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE) program. This role will involve mentoring Social Work Degree Apprentices, assessing Newly Qualified Social Workers (NQSWs), and ensuring professional development aligns with the Professional Capability Framework, Knowledge & Skills Statement (KSS), and Social Work England (SWE) standards.Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Professional Educator in delivering the ASYE program.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to Social Work Degree Apprentices.
  • Assess and monitor NQSWs in collaboration with line managers.
  • Facilitate Practice Development Workshops to support professional learning.
  • Conduct quality assurance audits of casework and the ASYE process.
  • Participate in moderation processes and service-wide learning initiatives.
  • Provide practice education support to social workers supervising students.
  • Assist in developing training programs to enhance professional standards.
  • Conduct direct observations and analysis to improve best practices.
  • Promote continuous professional development through mentoring, coaching, and group supervision.
  • Work collaboratively with the Children’s Social Work Practice Academy to ensure consistency in ASYE delivery.
Key Requirements:
  • Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
  • Experience in mentoring, coaching, and supervising social workers.
  • Strong knowledge of ASYE, KSS, and SWE standards.
  • Experience in quality assurance, audit, and best practice development.
  • Ability to facilitate training workshops and promote a learning culture.
  • Excellent interpersonal, assessment, and leadership skills.
