We are looking to recruit a Senior Practitioner in the Adults Learning Disabilities Duty Team within Hackney. The successful candidate will be working in a well-structured, organised team who are growing their social worker staffing levels.

The responsibilities of the Senior Practitioner includes:

  • The Senior Practitioner will be responsible for managing the day to day running of the Duty Service for ILDS.
  • Monitoring the Duty inbox, delegating tasks, line managing social workers.
  • The applicant must have experience of line management, a sound understand of the implementation of the Care Act (2014) assessments, the Mental Capacity Act (2005) and the Mental Health Act (1983) as well as be legally literate and have experience of Court of Protection work.
  • The ILDS is a supportive integrated team that includes Nurses, Psychologists, Psychiatrists, Occupational Therapists, Behavioural Analysts, Dietetics, Support Workers, Speech and Language Therapists.

To ideal candidate will have:

  • Social Work England registration
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
  • Social Work qualified (MA/BSc/DipSW/CQSW/MSc/BA)
