What you will do:

  • Implement systemic social work methods to effect positive change in complex cases involving children, families, and carers.
  • Perform comprehensive assessments using the assessment framework and devise effective support plans.
  • Lead inter-agency collaborations to safeguard children and meet their care needs.
  • Conduct safeguarding enquiries and support children, families, and carers in creating and implementing suitable action plans.
  • Represent the Council in court proceedings and make recommendations for legal action when necessary.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legislation, regulations, and departmental procedures relevant to children’s services.
