What you will do:
- Implement positive change in complex cases involving children, families, and carers, using systemic social work methods and tools to promote independence.
- Lead and oversee professional judgements within the relevant legal and policy frameworks, ensuring children's protection and well-being.
- Conduct and advise on comprehensive assessments, plan interventions, and review and adjust plans as necessary.
- Establish effective collaborative relationships across partner agencies to ensure cohesive and safe care for children.
- Act in the role of lead professional for complex cases, particularly those involving child protection and care proceedings.
- Prepare thorough reports and applications for court, representing the council and making recommendations for legal actions when required.
- Liaise with management regarding cases with significant challenges to ensure continuity of care.
