We are looking to recruit a Senior Social Worker in the Children With Disabilities Team within Islington. The successful candidate will be working in a well-structured, organised team who are growing their social worker staffing levels.

London Borough of Islington pay close attention to looking after their Social Workers and strive to ensure they feel supported and welcomed in their roles. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a stable working environment with experienced leadership, whilst receiving regular supervision and training opportunities.

The responsibilities of the Senior Social Worker includes:

  • Working in a dynamic team which involves working in a safeguarding team and supporting children with additional needs and their families.
  • This involves screening referrals and gate keeping with support from the management team and consider the appropriate support for the family.
  • There is monthly supervision from your line manager as well as participating in group supervisions and fortnightly team meetings.
  • The workload varies which includes CP, CIN and CLA cases as well as children who have overnight short breaks (ONSB).

To ideal candidate will have:

  • Social Work England registration
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
  • Social Work qualified (MA/BSc/DPSW/CQSW/MSc/BA)
