Social Care Assistant

Redbridge

Full Time: Mon - Fri 36/hrs a week

Hatched Recruitment is working closely with the local authorities and we are looking for a Social Care Assistant in the Redbridge area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process safeguarding referrals to ensure timely and efficient processing of all safeguarding concerns in line with statutory responsibilities.
  • Direct referrals to the appropriate community-based locality teams and Mental Health teams.
  • Maintain accurate records and uphold high standards of service delivery.
  • Ensure information and advice is given where appropriate in line with safeguarding principles and those of the Care Act 2014.
  • Provide early interventions to mitigate risks and promote independence and choice.
  • Ensure people who lack capacity receive appropriate support and if required, advocacy to express their views and wishes at the initial stage of the safeguarding process.
  • Produce written and verbal evidence-based reports which are concise, informative and appropriate for organisational requirements.
  • Raise and address issues of poor or unsafe practice through organisational channels.
  • Actively seek and act upon customer feedback positively by making changes to practice in order to improve service delivery for service users and the delivery of an integrated service.
