Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a Social Work Officer for a Local Authority Client based in North London.

In this role, you will support vulnerable adults by conducting strengths-based assessments, developing care plans, and collaborating with partners to enhance their independence and wellbeing.

About the role:You will be asked with delivering key strategic objectives:

  • Manage a non-complex caseload, working closely with vulnerable adults to improve their independence and wellbeing.
  • Conduct strengths-based assessments, reviews, and develop support plans tailored to individual needs.
  • Provide practical support to residents and carers, including advice on accessing welfare benefits, living aids, and community resources.
  • Assist in arranging short-term care and respite services for clients and carers to prevent breakdowns.
  • Assist social workers in managing complex cases, providing support in gathering information for legal matters.

About you:The successful candidate will have the following skills / experience:

  • Experience or exposure to Adult Social Care (voluntary, paid, or personal).
  • Practical experience in conducting strengths-based assessments, reviews, and developing support plans.
  • Experience working with vulnerable adults and their carers to promote independence and improve wellbeing.
  • Knowledge of accessing welfare benefits, living aids, and other community resources for service users.
  • Experience supporting social workers with complex cases, including legal documentation.

What's on offer:Salary: £19+ph *may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*

Contract type: 3-6, months minimum, with a high likelihood of extension

Hours: Monday to Friday, 36 hours per week
