Harrow Borough Council is looking for a skilled and compassionate Qualified Social Worker to join our dynamic teams supporting adults with care and support needs. This role involves providing a high-quality service, ensuring that individuals receive the necessary care in a timely and effective manner, while adhering to the Care Act 2014's principles.
We have openings across our integrated neighbourhood teams, including safeguarding, mental health, transitions, and review teams. If you're committed to supporting individuals in living independent and fulfilling lives, we want to hear from you.
About You:
You will bring a strong foundation in social work, a deep understanding of key legislation, and a person-centred approach to support vulnerable adults. Essential qualifications include:
- A Social Work qualification (BSc/MA in Social Work, Dip SW/HE or CQSW)
- Knowledge of the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005, Mental Health Act, and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards
- An enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check
- Experience in strengths-based practices (desirable)
- Understanding of diverse and marginalised groups (desirable)
