Duty and Assessment Social Worker

About the Role:

We are seeking experienced Duty and Assessment Social Workers to join our Children's Services team at London Borough of Barnet. This role involves working on a fast-paced, demanding team, responding to urgent referrals, conducting initial assessments, and making decisions about the level of intervention required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to urgent referrals and conduct initial assessments.
  • Make decisions about the level of intervention required, including initiating child protection enquiries.
  • Work collaboratively with other professionals, including police, health, and education.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of children and young people.
  • Adhere to statutory guidelines and procedures.
  • Participate in out-of-hours on-call rota.

Essential Requirements:
