Social Worker - Children's Services - Permanent Placement

Our client is seeking dedicated and creative social workers to join their Permanency Service, where you will play a crucial role in supporting children for whom they are corporate parents. This is an opportunity to make a lifelong difference by engaging directly with children and young people, undertaking meaningful work such as life story work, and ensuring they receive the highest standards of care and support.

This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, with a requirement to work from the office three days a week while supporting children and young people aged 0 to 18. Internal candidates will be considered for secondment opportunities.

The Role

As a social worker, you will be the lead professional in a child's life, ensuring their voice is heard and their needs are met. Working alongside a network of professionals, you will provide support for children living with relatives, foster families, prospective adopters, in children's homes, or in semi-independent units. You will be responsible for:

  • Conducting regular statutory visits
  • Completing and updating assessments
  • Developing and implementing care plans
  • Working collaboratively to provide the right support and guidance for children and young people

What We're Looking For

Our client is looking for enthusiastic and committed professionals who meet the following criteria:

  • A degree in Social Work and registration with Social Work England (SWE)
  • A solid understanding of statutory legislation, including the Children Act
  • Strong planning skills to assess, review, and support children's needs
  • Experience in managing an allocated caseload
  • A commitment to ensuring children and young people live safe, happy, and successful lives

Candidates who qualified after 2012 must have completed their Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE). The ability to work from the office at least three days per week is essential.
