Social Worker - Full-Time, Permanent | £45,000 - £48,000 per annum


Our client, a well-established Family Assessment Centre in Hendon, London, is seeking an experienced and passionate Social Worker to join their dedicated team. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven and compassionate individual to make a real difference in the lives of children and families.


Role Overview: The successful candidate will work closely with children, families, and multi-agency teams to improve family outcomes, focusing on safeguarding children and empowering families to thrive independently. The position offers a supportive working environment, with opportunities for learning, development, and career growth.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with families, children, and other professionals to develop and implement tailored support plans.
  • Manage complex court cases involving child protection investigations.
  • Coordinate and chair meetings, produce concise reports, and engage effectively with children and their families.
  • Ensure all interventions prioritize child welfare and family support, making decisions in line with statutory guidelines.
  • Promote a safe and positive environment that upholds the values of social care.


Requirements:

  • Social Work qualification and HCPC registration with at least 2 years of experience.
  • Proven experience managing complex children and family cases, particularly in court proceedings and child protection.
  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding principles and children's social care theory, legislation, and practices.
  • Excellent report writing and communication skills.
  • Ability to make sound decisions based on analysis and professional judgment.
  • Flexibility in working hours to meet operational demands, including emergencies.
  • A valid DBS check and UK work authorization.
  • Must be able to safely transport children and families when required.
