The Role: Safeguarding, Court, and Assessment ServiceJoin our dynamic Safeguarding and Support Team, part of Haringey’s Social Work services. This role focuses on safeguarding vulnerable children and families, conducting in-depth assessments, and providing interventions to improve outcomes for those in need. As a Social Worker in this service, you will work closely with specialized teams, including the Court Team and the Vulnerable Violence and Exploitation Team, ensuring that children are protected and supported through robust case management and planning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional casework to safeguard children and families.
  • Perform comprehensive child and family assessments, including Section 47 enquiries.
  • Develop and manage SMART plans for children under CIN, CP, and LAC.
  • Maintain high professional standards through regular supervision and personal development.

About You:To succeed in this role, you must have:

  • A relevant social work qualification.
  • Current registration with Social Work England (SWE).
  • A minimum of 12 months’ post-qualification experience, preferably in a similar setting.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Resilience and adaptability, with the ability to manage caseloads under pressure.
