About the Role

NonStop are seeking a passionate and experienced Social Worker to lead and manage our Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS) service. This is a pivotal role within our Adult Social Care department, where you will ensure high-quality service delivery, compliance with legislation, and continuous improvement in safeguarding practices.

You will collaborate with partner agencies, supervise the DoLS Safeguarding Liaison Officer, and oversee all aspects of the DoLS process, ensuring the safety, dignity, and rights of vulnerable adults in our community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Practitioner Role:

    • Act as the lead expert in DoLS, driving service improvements and ensuring compliance with legal frameworks and guidance.
    • Work closely with internal teams, partner agencies, and stakeholders to achieve excellence in safeguarding.
  • Supervision and Quality Assurance:

    • Supervise the DoLS Safeguarding Liaison Officer, addressing quality assurance, customer care, and performance issues.
    • Escalate critical matters to the Team Manager as needed.
  • DoLS Process Management:

    • Manage all referrals, ensuring timely screening, prioritization, and processing in line with statutory obligations.
    • Develop and implement strategies for service efficiency and quality enhancement.
