Salary: SO1 37,068 - 38,058 per annum, pro rata
Contract: Permanent, Part-Time (18 hours per week)

The Role
We are looking for a dedicated Technical Officer for Hearing Impairment to join our Occupational Therapy and Sensory Team. You will be part of a committed Sensory Impairment Team, responsible for rehabilitation programmes that support adults and young people with hearing impairments in developing their full potential. This includes teaching orientation techniques, independent living skills, and communication methods, as well as making onward referrals. Additionally, you will provide support to the Occupational Therapy Team and the Rehabilitation Officer for Visual Impairment with casework and minor duties.
This is a community-based role, offering opportunities to collaborate with other teams, external agencies, and the voluntary sector.
About You
We are seeking a Qualified Rehabilitation Officer (DipHE in Rehabilitation Studies or equivalent) who is flexible, self-motivated, and has experience in social care, working with diverse individuals with disabilities. You should demonstrate the Haringey values and be able to establish and maintain strong professional links across different services and community sectors.
Essential Skills & Experience:
Experience in prescribing and ordering equipment specific to hearing impairments.
Strong understanding of procurement routes and troubleshooting hearing impairment equipment.
Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
