Smart teachers are working with a award winning Independent school who are looking to appoint a Welfare assistant on a permanent basis Asap

About the role

In your role as a welfare assistant you will assist pupils who are unwell or otherwise distressed, This will involve administering First aid. You will also be required to provide general and medical administrative support to the school Nurse.

The role is 22.5 hours per week and can either be spilt across 5 days or condensed into 3 days (Wed, Thurs, and Friday). The Role is on a permanent basis and would start early December.

Requirements

To be considered for the role of Welfare assistant required for a Popular Independent school located in West London Asap you will:

  • You will have the ability to remain calm when under pressure
  • You will have a good grasp of ICT, Numeracy and Literacy skills
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service or open to obtaining one
  • Must have a flexible and approachable attitude

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:

  • Training can be offered for Pediatric First aid, Mental health first aid and Knowledge of Asthma and Diabetes
