Young People's Worker- Risk and Resilience Practitioner

Rate: £20+ per hour

Spencer Clarke Group is recruiting for a Young Person's Risk and Resilience Practitioner in Merton, London. This role focuses on supporting children and young people at risk of going missing, experiencing child exploitation, or misusing substances. You will work with them to reduce harm and promote positive outcome.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of C&YP, who are referred by means of effective assessment and care planning
  • Undertake Return Home Interviews for missing C&YP, when required
  • Develop and sustain relationships with referring agencies, identifying and overcoming any barriers to engagement, and that appropriate referrals are received.
  • Provide consultation, information, training and presentations to partners and stakeholders from a range of settings.

Essential Requirements:

  • Understanding of Child Protection, including safeguarding processes and procedures.
  • Working knowledge of one or more of the following service areas: substance misuse treatment, CE, or missing from home.
  • Driving licence and access to own vehicle.
  • Being happy to travel to different locations in the Merton area if a young person has absconded from home.
