Enterprise Infrastructure Architect (mainly on-prem, small focus on AWS)
Permanent, up to £110,000 + benefits, bonus *** Hybrid working 2 days office
Leading financial services client is looking for an Infrastructure Architect to join their team on a permanent basis. You will have a strong infrastructure background across a broad range of technologies, including Data Centre, Cloud Infrastructure & Platforms (AWS), with a focus on capability enhancements and continuous improvement. The role is focused mainly on on-prem with a small focus on AWS Cloud. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, providing technical leadership, and ensuring the designs meet the architectural principles and security standards.
Key responsibilities include:
- Author High-Level Solution Design, Solutions Overview and Conceptual Architectures
- Design and architect solutions based on technical and business requirements
- Develop and document architecture blueprints and best practices.
- Act as a lead Architect on projects
- Contribute to the development & management of Infrastructure Strategy
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of Architecture
- Contribute to product roadmaps & reference architectures
Skills and experience required:
- Proven experience in Architecting Infrastructure solutions.
- Strong experience creating Roadmaps
- Strong experience across a broad range of technologies (Data Centre and hosting technologies, Virtualisation, Hypervisors, Windows, Linux, Databases, Networks, AWS)
- Ability to assess and recommend third-party tools and services to complement AWS offerings
- Good knowledge of Risk management
- Provide technical guidance to team members and stakeholders
- Stay updated on new features and capabilities & best practices
- Share knowledge with the team and contribute to the organization's learning culture
- Industry-recognised certifications (Togaf, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, etc) are highly desirable.
