This is an exciting role for a junior C# developer to join this energy sector consulting firm, and fast-growing team. You will play a key role in the growth of the product developing both new and existing applications. Due to the bespoke and integrated nature of the solutions, they are looking for candidates with solid object oriented programming skills. The incumbent will work across all areas of code based on a C# back end, and a scalable Microsoft Azure architecture. Knowledge of front end web languages (particularly Vue JS / Typescript) is desirable but not required.
What will you be doing?
- Helping to develop new and maintain existing client-facing applications
- Working with non-technical users to understand requirements and business aims and identifying problems and providing solutions in a timely manner
- Keeping up to date with the developments and changes in the field of software development, as well as the tools and techniques used
What skills, experience and qualities are we looking for?
- Proficient in C# programming
- Experience in using Visual Studio and Microsoft (.NET) technical stack
- Comfortable working collaboratively within a team
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to discuss technical matters in non-technical language
- Clear and logical thinking, along with the ability to provide concrete examples of work
Desired skills:
- Knowledge and understanding of Azure DevOps
- Experience working with databases, particularly Azure CosmosDB
- Front end web languages, particularly knowledge of Vue JS and TypeScript
- Enthusiasm for providing an excellent user experience and learning new skills on the job
- Educated to degree level with either a numerical or computer-based degree, however, other backgrounds will also be considered
