AWS DevOps Engineer / SRE - Contract
- Location: 2 Days a Week Onsite - Central London
- Day Rate: £390 Per Day Via Umbrella Engagement
- Length: 12 Months

As a DevOps/SRE, you'll be a key player in designing, implementing, and maintaining highly available, scalable, and secure infrastructure on AWS. You'll drive automation across our development lifecycle, champion best practices, and ensure our systems are reliable and high-performing.
- Design and maintain cloud infrastructure with a focus on availability, scalability, and security.
- Develop and manage Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform.
- Build, optimize, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployments.
- Collaborate with developers, QA, and stakeholders to support smooth delivery of web and backend services.
- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure system health and reliability.
- Enforce security and compliance best practices across infrastructure and deployments.
- Continuously improve platform performance, resilience, and developer experience.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or SRE, preferably in cloud-native environments.
- Strong expertise in AWS services and architecture.
- Solid understanding of networking, security, and system administration.
- Hands-on experience with automation tools and scripting (e.g., Bash, Python).
- Proficient in CI/CD tools and workflows (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI).
- Expertise in Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform (or similar tools).
- Experience with observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog).
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Bonus Points For
- Experience in containerization and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Background in performance tuning and incident response.
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001).
