Azure Infrastructure Engineer - Cloud Projects Required. Highly Remote (1-2 Days a Week in Office) - London Contract - Outside IR35 - 12 Months Initial.

We are seeking an experienced Azure Infrastructure Engineer to lead a Proof of Concept (PoC) for a strategic programme of work. This contract role sits outside IR35 and is ideal for a highly skilled cloud-focused engineer with expertise in Azure tooling, security, and networking. Our client operates in the financial, retail, and software industries, making experience in these sectors highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the PoC initiative, designing and implementing scalable Azure cloud solutions.

  • Deploy, manage, and optimise Azure cloud infrastructure, including Azure AD, Azure Networking, and Azure Security.

  • Work closely with internal teams and third-party vendors, ensuring seamless collaboration and delivery.

  • Provide technical expertise on Azure best practices, security, and governance.

  • Troubleshoot complex infrastructure challenges and implement robust cloud solutions.

  • Document and present PoC findings, contributing to long-term cloud strategy.

Key Requirements:
  • Strong technical knowledge and hands-on experience with Azure cloud services.

  • Expertise in Azure Active Directory (AD), Networking, and Security.

  • Proven experience delivering PoC projects and working in highly regulated environments.

  • Third-party vendor management experience is essential.

  • Industry experience in financial services, retail, or software preferred.

  • Ability to work independently and proactively drive cloud adoption.

Contract Details:
  • Outside IR35 - Competitive day rate available.

  • Highly remote - Maximum 1-2 days per week in the office.

  • Immediate start available - Initial contract with potential extension.
