About the Role: We're seeking a talented engineer with a strong Java background and proven expertise in designing and developing sophisticated J2EE applications and services. You'll work closely with our in-house and contract teams on both architecture and design, helping us shape the future of digital finance.
Our ideal candidate will have:
- Hands-on experience with internal and external teams, driving impactful projects from concept through to implementation.
- Extensive knowledge of Java and J2EE, enabling you to provide creative solutions for complex payment applications.
- The ability to work independently and collaboratively, adapting quickly in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Background in the payments industry (preferred), with a deep understanding of secure, reliable, and scalable payment solutions.
The Tech:
- Experience in AWS to architect and maintain cloud-based solutions effectively.
- Hands-on expertise in designing, building, and testing Java EE applications.
- Message broker experience with technologies such as Kafka to facilitate seamless communication between services.
- Microservice architecture knowledge, including containerization with Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes.
- In-depth knowledge of popular Java frameworks, particularly JSF and Spring MVC.
- Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Design (OOD) principles to build maintainable and scalable software.
- Experience working with internal and external teams, driving impactful projects from concept through to implementation.
Location: Primarily based in our London (City) office, with opportunities for remote work depending on project requirements.
