The Role

As aBack End Engineer, youll be building highly-performant APIs, scaling their core systems, and designing new microservices from scratch. Youll work with a modern tech stack centred aroundGolang, Kubernetes, and Postgres, with a strong focus on automation and CI/CD.

Youll work closely with product managers, designers, and front-end engineers to deliver features that directly impact their users. Youll also contribute to architectural decisions, ensuring their platform remains reliable, secure, and scalable as they grow.

What Youll Be Doing

  • Writing clean, maintainable, and well-testedGolangcode.
  • Designing and building new microservices and APIs.
  • Optimising system performance and ensuring high availability.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
  • Improving their CI/CD pipelines to speed up deployments.
  • Participating in code reviews and mentoring junior developers.

What Were Looking For

  • Strong commercial experience as aBack End Engineer.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience withGolang.
  • Solid understanding of distributed systems, API design, and microservices.
  • Experience working in aSaaSor product-led business.
  • Knowledge of SQL databases (Postgres preferred) and caching (Redis).
  • Exposure to Kubernetes, Docker, and modern CI/CD workflows.
  • Comfortable working in agile, fast-paced environments.
  • Bonus: Experience with event-driven architectures (Kafka, NATS, etc.).
