Backend Software Engineer / Developer (AWS Golang) Remote / London to £95k

Opportunity to progress your career in a senior, hands-on role at one of Europe's most successful streaming and social media platforms whilst working remotely and enjoying a range of benefits and perks.

As a Backend Software Engineer within the Ads team you will work on complex backend systems and APIs. The current on-prem systems are based on Scala, however they're looking to add engineers to the team with a strong knowledge of AWS as they transition to Golang and Cloud based services. There's a number of technical challenges to get your teeth into, you'll be working on large, scalable, distributed systems pushing the limits.

There's an upbeat, international environment where you can make a real impact, work on complex and challenging systems and continually improve your skills with 20% of your time dedicated to personal projects.

Location / WFH:

You'll be able to work from home / remotely fulltime, with the caveat that'll join the team in London once a quarter.

About you:

  • You are an experienced Backend Software Engineer with experience of working on scalable, distributed systems
  • You have strong AWS and microservices experience
  • You have commercial Golang development experience
  • You have a good knowledge of API development
  • You're also familiar with Kafka, BigQuery, GraphQL
  • You enjoy problem solving and collaborating
  • You are degree educated in Computer Science or STEM discipline, having achieved a 2.1 or above from a top tier university
